Fabricarte II

Fabricarte II is an investigation of shallow vaults prefabrication through triangular subdivision for small to mid-span floor systems in housing and office buildings. The system comprises concrete ribs with areas for joints between parts and mechanical installation. The research examines two vaults geometries: a sail vault and a groin vault. While both are abundant the vernacular construction of houses in Spain, the segmentation of the vaults pushes them into industrialisation.
